the sprawling basin of a rock quarry, the Quarry may well be
one of the nation's most unique golf courses. It has won several
prestigious accolades from various golf publications. The 6,700-yard
course offers the golfing public a "country club experience
for a day." The native stone clubhouse offers a view of
the entire back nine and houses a restaurant, bar, pro shop and
adjoining pavilion.

- ------Built in 1929 as a nine-hole, par-3 course,
Riverside Golf Course was totally renovated by 1974 to include
an 18-hole, par-72 course. The result is a fascinating 18-hole
layout that plays 6,602 yards from championship tees and a par-3
course to challenge and entertain the whole family. Owned by
the City of San Antonio, the golf center spans nearly 176 acres.

is a par-72 golf course that encompasses 1,600 acres on the cities'
Northside. It features a full-service clubhouse, restaurant,
pro shop driving range and banquet facility. Part of the course
plays around a lake, adding beauty and a challenge to the golfer's
game. The course is heavily-treed and ringed by single-family
homes.

Springs Golf Course winds a scenic route along Salado Creek.
Texas Open host for several years, the municipal course consistently
attracts many major local tournaments. Completely renovated in
1975-1976, the 188.6 acre course is par-72 and plays 7,085 yards
from championship tees.

lakes of the Martinez Basin, Woodlake Country Club's 18-hole,
6,652-yard championship course challenges skilled golfers while
appealing to those with more modest abilities. A product of Desmond
Muirhead's ingenuity, the course was site of the Texas Open from
1972-1976, and serves as one of only three sites nationally for
the PGA Senior Tour Qualifying School. Built in contemporary
Moorish design, a clubhouse houses the restaurant, lounge and
pro shop.
